Life coaching

WHERE DOES OUR INNER STRENGTH COME FROM?
How to turn your dream into a goal?
How to get the motivation to action?
There are more options.
One of them is receiving support through coaching.

Some days ago I saw an interview with a 16 year old Pakistani girl (her name is Malala) on U.S. television. She has just released her book: "I am Malala". This 16 year old teenager is unhappy with the fact that the Taliban do not allow women to attend school, they even destroy schools for children. She decided to declare her discontent publicly, for example she wrote a blog for BBC (anonymously) and later revealed her identity in the document on state television. The Taliban threatened to kill her and then really Taliban militants shot her in the head. She survived the accident, now lives in the UK and has become the face of the campaign education for all. This is her statement to what happened to her: "They can shoot my body, but they cannot shoot my dreams."

Malala is certainly a courageous young woman. Her story is very motivating for me. Her approach how to highlight the situation is incentive, even if for many of us to be in such a situation is an unthinkable, and as well how to not give up. She found a way how to draw attention to what she is dissatisfied with. She used her inner strength as opposed to aggression. Her story can be an example for us. Just remember how often we complain about different situations and sometimes we give up at the first obstacle. Let us not wait till somebody resolves the issue. Let us try to find the motivation to start acting. For sure you know some people in your neighbourhood who are able to resist a difficult situation. Think of them when you seem like you need to "start yourself". They can be a motivating role model for us. We do not have to go far, it may be our parents, friends, neighbours, colleagues, but even stranger at the store, on the street smiling at us. Let us be receptive to others but also to ourselves. Have you noticed how people react to your behaviour? To find some motivation is the first step, but building inner strength is a lifelong project. Not only because it is worth when a problem occurs, but also because it gradually becomes part of our identity. You will need the inner strength in a situation that affects you and removes your inner energy. If you are strong, you'll even have enough surplus energy and stamina when you have to face such a challenge.

How to turn your dream into a goal? How to get the motivation to action?
There are more options. One of them is
receiving support through coaching.

Let us have an example from history, Benjamin Franklin and his 13 "virtues" that he tried to manage and so consolidate his inner strength. He was aware that he is unable to live fully each day according to these principles. He decided, therefore, that each week he will focus to success to one of them. Every day evening he evaluated himself how he succeeded in. You can create your own list, or the way you wish to progress in a particular situation, so you can support yourself and build your inner strength.
